Why this must be read:
This vivid and frightening story is set in the summer after OotP, when Harry is dealing with the aftermath of the battle at the Ministry. It's a disturbing look at Harry's fear, his guilt, and his need for control. But there is hope here, too, and the story has great insights into the relationship between Harry and Ron. Though the Harry/Ron elements are integral to the story, I think it also has significant appeal for those who are not Harry/Ron shippers. It's a very memorable look at Harry and the darkness and danger that he has to contend with.
