The Moon and the Stars and the Deep Blue Sea Affair by Deanna (R)

Why this must be read:
Ordered on vacation by Mr. Waverly to rest and recuperate, Illya and Napoleon find themselves sharing a hotel room on the French Riviera courtesy of the UNCLE secretarial pool. Napoleon can barely hide his enthusiasm; Illya's shock settles into simmering annoyance. But never fear: sightseeing, candlelit dinners, an action-packed night at the casino, and a winding drive along seaside cliffs in the moonlight have a way of melting the most ingrained Russian inhibitions.

Unashamedly romantic, bubbly fun.

This is a dear story, "bubbly fun" as you say. I'm uncertain as to why Illya is so grumpy about the enforced holiday, maybe that's just how he is. I also wonder what the secretarial pool knows--maybe as much as we readers have always suspected. But I like how Illya melts in the cliff-hanging car. It's a terrific scene. Thanks for the recc.
