Dief barked again, and I glared at him.
"Yes, Diefenbaker, fine, I'm moping."
"Okay," said Ray. "Okay, now we're getting somewhere. What are you moping about? We only got three open cases, you just saw Vecchio over Christmas, I been picking my shorts up off the bathroom floor, and I don't leave the sugar open anymore." Ray ticked items off on his fingers. "So what? You need to get laid?"
