leyenn and as she said in her rec of it, one thing TNG didn't do a lot of was good follow up to the events of episodes and given how much went on in TNG's "The Host" (the introduction of the Trill) this *needed* to be done and, of course, never was. This story provides an incredibly solid and very in depth post-episode for "The Host". It hits all the marks by dealing with the complications of Beverly's involvement with Odan whilst the symbiont was being hosted in Riker, with Deanna's view of the whole thing, with Will's view of the whole thing and gets in some great character moments with everyone along the way. This was originally printed in an Orion Press fanzine and is being hosted on the Beta Ori Publications website along with a lot more equally fantastic work so please check out the fic and explore the the others as well.
