Why this vid kicks ass:
Because this beautiful truly conveys the epic nature of the story - from it's innocent begins in the Shire to the leaving at Grey Havens. The choice of song fits so well with the video. There's just the right balance of literality with the lyrics and the feel of the music.
The swift cuts do a good job of 'introducing' the characters before moving on. Particularly the use of flashback scenes and repeating of similar clips with lyrics hold it together.
After watching it I had the sense of just having seen the trilogy. Go. Watch. Feedback
