Why this must be read:
So it never really happened like this, but who gives a rat's arse. Daniel's return in Maayan's story is brutal and painful and labored and all the things you really wanted it to be but knew it was never gonna. I've recommended Maayan before so you already know I think her writing is a real treat but I think the story here is worth checking out too because it's novel (not a novel) and effective and dangling lazily on the edge of being completely obscure. Even if it takes you time, it's worth the ride. Maayan only wrote two Stargate stories and they're both recommended. It was beautiful while it lasted.

I read this after you posted the first one, went to the site. It is interesting. I am personally a very obsessive J/D slasher, yet I became that way because of their friendship. Something she plays on well. I have to say it has great potential to be an amazing... something more for us slashers. The tub scene was sheer beauty. I dunno what I'm trying to say I have mixed feelings on it I guess.

I adore this story. I found it a few month ago, and have been salivating all over the place trying to find it again, as I stupidly did not bookmark it.

For the longest time I actually thought Daniel was 'back' after I had read this (we're behind in Australia), and was severly disappointed when I found out he wasn't, and that it didn't happen like this.

Me too! I was so hoping Daniel would have this really difficult time adjusting and he would be completly freaked just like in this story! They let him get him back to it too quickly - such a let down.
