Why this must be read: A shipper friend of mine read this story and was eager to tell me she'd just read a Jack/ Daniel story and liked it. I think that's a great compliment - to write a story that changes someone's mind. Admittedly this is pre-slash rather than NC-17 but we all know that's how it starts! ;) Destina's another name that's come up here and a name you will have heard if you've been hovering around SG fanfic for any length of time and if you're into Jack/ Daniel fic at all you should make sure you read all her SG before going anywhere else. So why recommend this one? I guess because Jack is written so deeply and profoundly here whereas so many writers write him as flip and simple - something that is just not borne out by the show. Jack angst is delightful and delectable and this is a prime (if not the prime example.
