Why this must be read: This isn't a crossover in the purest sense, but I decided to save it to rec today, just in case. This is a relatively recent fic and it must be read simply because it works and it works so well. As I started to read this story for the first time, my first thought was, "Huh. I never would have thought you could combine these two shows realistically, but you totally can!" And as I continued reading, my thoughts consistently were, "I would never have thought people would react that way, but of course they would!"
It's a fascinating look at the age old question of, "What would you change in the past, if you could?" And it provides great insight into Kara's character, of how she's become who she is now.
Also, this is totally Rose:
"What's Earth like?"
A quick smile spread over Rose's face. "Oh, it's brilliant!" And suddenly, she wouldn't stop talking about it.
