Seeing It from Both Sides ... and the Middle by Jim M. (PG)

Fandom: X-MEN COMICVERSE
Pairing: None
Author Website: Story found at Fonts of Wisdom
Why this must be read:

One of my particular weaknesses is Kitty/Magneto stories, especially stories set in Genosha. Because of their shared Jewish heritage, Kitty tends to nail Magneto on social justice issues more than anyone but Xavier, and Jim's just great at writing them both:

Much later, when Kitty came striding out of the massive construction toward Magneto, who was speaking on a small cell phone, her eyes were hard. "Do you know what the hell that is!?!"

Magneto closed his cell phone and opened his mouth to reply, but Kitty continued on, cutting him off, "What am I saying, of course you know. It's a god damn frigging Nuclear FUSION Reactor. How in hell did you get the tech to build that (even if it isn't completed) and what the hell are you building four of them for?! Damn it, what are you up to?!"

Although he'd taken a step back during her tirade, his voice was calm and unruffled as he replied, "I did not build them, Katherine -- they were here when I arrived."

"They were here when you...?!" sputtered Kitty. "But... But that's impossible! There's no way the Genoshans could have this type or level of technology. Hell, they're only starting to experiment building them in the US..."
