May drivers are needed in the Buffy, Lost, and X-Men fandoms!

In June and beyond, drivers are needed for Angel, CSI, Firefly, Hornblower, LOTR, LOTRIPS, Star Trek, and Stargate fandoms.

Hi -- I went to find this post, because I'm a little confused about why Buffy seems to have been removed from the list of active fandoms for crack_van.

When I saw this entry at the end of April, I had volunteered for May at the appropriate sign-up sheet. I didn't hear anything back. As it turns out, someone had replied to me, but I didn't get the comment.

Since it's the comm's policy to reply only when the person is on deck, I didn't think much of not receiving the reply -- I assumed that someone else was up for that month (May) and that I would be up for June.

Since it's June 1, I went to check the sign-up sheet today to see if I *was* up, and found the Buffy volunteer sheet had been removed from the memories. I hunted around and found a bookmark of it, which is how I found there had been a comment that I didn't receive.

Now, checking the list of active/past fandoms, it looks like Buffy is considered inactive by the community. I'm so surprised and saddened that this decision has been made. Please, I would ask that you reconsider. The Buffy fandom has been very actively rec'd in the last year, and I know there are more recs, more good stories, and more people who would volunteer to keep the fandom alive at this community.

If there is any chance that you would re-think this decision, I would be happy to rec for Buffy for June -- I have recs prepared. If you need some show of fandom support to keep the fandom alive at the community, I would be happy to collect and present names of interested people or some other evidence of fan interest.
