Why this must be read: Because Drunk!Lex is a classic - but Lex getting drunk while making cookies with Martha is hilarious. It's a Valentine's fic, but don't let that stop you. It's good any day of the year, as is the fact that Lex keeps a well-stocked bar in the trunk of his car. *g* There are moments in this that are tinged with sympathy for Lex - a Lex who desperately wants to be part of Clark's life and who misses his own mother terribly - but mostly this is just a rollicking good time. You heard me - rollicking, and I don't say that lightly.

"I feel good, nana nana nana na," Lex and Martha sang with James Brown as they slid across the floor on their socks. Both held wooden spoons like they were microphones. "I knew that I would now. I feeeeel good. I know that I would now. So good--"
Martha pirouetted away from Lex.
"So good--"
She spun back toward him and into his arms.
"I got you!"
And then Lex.
Dipped.
Her.
