I love everything that Bernie writes, but I especially love this fic. It's short, but she makes her point so brilliantly that there's not another word that could be added to make it more complete.

He watched a science program with Henry once; it said eggs couldn't be broken open if you pressed them top to bottom. Not even in a vice, at that angle all eggs are unbreakable. It's a trick of nature. But, tighten two fingers around their middle and your kitchen is a murder scene. Egg guts, egg blood, egg skin. And damn but that slippery stuff does not clean up easy.
