Why this must be read:
This is a long (225K) AU set during the Marauders' time at Hogwarts, with special guest-character Lex Luthor as a transfer student. (He's a Slytherin, of course!)
One of the things I love about Tham's stories is her brilliant characterizations, and this story is no exception. By page two we know that James is an affable flirt; Remus is a quietly brilliant enigma; Lex is a reserved, potentially lethal problem; and Sirius -- well, I pretty much fell in love with Sirius, in all his arrogant, passionate, damaged glory. The story features evil plots, unrequited love, self-sacrificing friendships, some lava-hot snogging -- basically everything you need for a long, indulgent read. It's well worth a weekend.
