Why this must be read: In this established relationship fic, Ray's undercover as a homeless man. Fraser checks in with him every morning to get an update on the case. And then one morning he asks Ray a strange question...
"Ray, how long- That is to say, when- No... Ray, how did you die?"
Ray doesn't remember dying. At first, he thinks Fraser's just acting particularly unhinged, that the strain has gotten to him. But then he starts noticing some...oddities. And really, do the dead know when they die?
