Why this must be read:
Touch, the first in the Beautiful Monsters series about the Horsemen's origins, is a masterfully crafted tale of Kronos' origins. In an infinitely believeable story, Coyote shows how a monster is not born, but created. Kronos is a slave who only does as he is told beacuse he's not ready to die. He is a man full of anger and hate. But Kronos is pushed beyond endurance, and an angry, hateful man becomes a monster vowing to never be a victim again. And naturally, there's a plague. It kills him, gives him a new life untouchable by men. After reading this, it's no wonder Pestilence is so captivated by disease.
