"Did you know that no less than *six* people mentioned your little zombie-imitation around the SGC last night to me?" Jack rocks up on his toes, eyes narrowed and scary. "And that was before I got past the first checkpoint." Hmm. That expression is familiar... (And then he took out his knife, and he threw it at Heru'ur. Oh, yeah. Take another gulp of coffee before Jack takes it away.)

"Did they really?" It's not lying if it's in the form of a question (I'll take prevarication for $300, Alex).

Wow! This is a great rec! I've tread only lightly in this fandom, mostly because I'm not committed to any ship nor seeking too much romance in the writing. This kind of character study's hard to find and an absolutely joy to read. Thanks for pointing it out here.
