Why this must be read: Admittedly, I had a hard time finding something for Crossover Day, even though I adore the genre and generally eat it up. But a fellow Crack Van driver pointed me in the direction of this gem from 2005. Dana Scully, circa season two, meets Wesley Wyndham-Price, circa season five. Makes sense that eventually, our intrepid FBI pair would stumble across the wacky apocalypi in L.A., and that when they did, they would meet up with Angel Investigations. Wes and Scully are perfectly in character here, and it's the author's Scully that really sold the story for me.
Coincidence. When coincidence went your way, when it made connections they called it serendipity. It was a little new-agey for Dana, but it meant that the Englishman might ask her out to lunch, or better, dinner. If that happened, she'd be willing to call it anything.
Scully, pre-abduction! You have to love it.
