Apart from that, it's brilliant.

Shaking himself, Methos dragged his eyes up to Caspian's, nodding pointedly at the bared sword in Caspian's hand. "This is a surprise," Methos drawled, his knowing voice raising Caspian's hackles--as it was meant to. "It's not often we see you practicing."
Shrugging carelessly, Caspian forbore to remind Methos that the same could be said of him. "Couldn't sleep," he said shortly, wondering where Methos was going to take this and how quickly it would boil to a head. Not quickly enough, he suspected--Methos always did like to drag things out past all decency.
"What a coincidence," Methos snorted wryly, without his habitual sneer. "I can't pass out."
