This story is an AU of the Supernatural pilot, in which Mary survives the fire. Mary Winchester's death is a catalyst for the series, and is hauntingly beautiful how the author creates a world that is remiscient of, but so vitally different from canon. As tough and strong as the Winchester boys are; this Mary is stronger, and that's a beautiful, beautiful thing.
