Why this vid kicks ass:
Because this really is about everything and everyone. It's the screamers and the soldier and the scientists, forty years of the Doctor and his companions. It's a homage, really, and an incredibly lovely one at that.
Source material for Who varies widely - in four decades, you're dealing with aspect ratio changes, varying quality, and the transition from black and white to colour. Calapine has dealt with that admirably, and the dedication it must have taken to sort through the volume of material is amazing.
This vid makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.
