The Fire This Time by Ruth Devero (NC-17)

Why this must be read: This is almost a novel and whilst it is a sequel to two of Ruth Devero's earlier stories; Little Mr. Marker and Thief of Hearts, it does stand up very well on it's own. There are two strands running through this story; the first is the plot of an arsonist and the second is Fraser and Ray coming to terms with how they feel about each other. Both the strands work well together and neither overwhelms the other. It's also another of those 'could have happened in canon' stories (well bar the sex ;-).
