This story is a bleak and realistic take on House and Cameron in a relationship. "The sex is isolating," and as usual, House expends a lot more energy on talking the situation over with Wilson than on the relationship itself.
I love the quietness of this story. House gets more attention for his loud-mouth wit, but there are frequent moments of silent contemplation on the show that fan fiction often leaves out. The style and atmosphere of this story captures that balance. The silences are just as important as what is said.
Even if you don't normally like House/Cameron, I strongly suggest you read this one. And then be sure to letmojokitten know how brilliant it is!
