Why this must be read:
I enjoy gen stories that explore dusty corners of fandom, or that elaborate on some aspect of canon. All those Slayers before Buffy, and we only got a glimpse of a few. The Chinese Slayer who Spike killed is the focus of this piece, and it's moving and evocative of another time and place.
