Why this must be read:
This story is long. Like 600,000 words long. It took me a couple of days to read it, slowly in patches, and it was kind of worth it.

There's a lot going on in this story, with two relationships forming (JC/Chris + Lance/Justin) and although we're focussed on the first the other filters through. It's really about JC's journey into accepting who he is and there's angst and hypocriticalness and conversations and sex. Like lots of sex, in lots of different ways, with different people and sex. There's also the concerns of living with people, the pressures of the industry, family and personal expectations and just a bit of everything.

It's a good story to read when you've got a bit of time and a willingness to read a porny-angsty story.

"Really? Okay. What I want is to rewind to where I stopped in that
market and bought that stupid bottle. And then I want to walk right past
so none of this would've happened." And also for Chris to put some more
clothes on. And to stop squeezing the hapless shirt in a way that makes
JC think of the desperate grappling on the bed after the bar. JC takes a
deep breath and tries to concentrate on some bit of Chris that doesn't
remind him of great sex. If he can find one. "It didn't mean anything.
It was just the booze, that's all. Nothing we -- nothing that happened
proved anything about anything, and now I'd like you to stop acting like
it's just a big joke, or -- or like you think I'm gonna want to do it again
because, newsflash, Chris. Never gonna happen."

"and it was kind of worth it."

*kind* of worth it?

Man, talk about damning with faint praise. I have never read such a half-hearted rec on crackvan. I think you made Chris sad!
