Redrafting, by Delightfully Eccentric (R)
Hi, I'm Lin, and I'll be your driver for The West Wing this month. Apologies for the late start, I've been away from my computer. Hopefully I can make up for it now. Enjoy.
Fandom: THE WEST WING
Pairing: CJ/Tabatha Fortis (with a side of CJ/Toby and Toby/Tabatha)
Author on LJ:
littleloonlost
Author Website: no frills
Why this must be read:
It's hard to know what to say about this fic, really.
littleloonlost dips artfully into moments from relationships, past and present, with a beautifully poetic style, and then ties them up with a bow. Her CJ is perfect, and moving. Her Toby is, well, Toby. If only we could have seen this Tabatha on the show.
Tabatha was a ridiculous name with a great body. She didn't eat red meat and wrote everything longhand, from letters of complaint about school boards banning books to sonnets about the curve from your neck to your nipple. You both wore terrible clothes, but not for long enough to ruin the aesthetic.
Smug lit majors had tried their luck whispering poetry in your ear, but she really talked like that, like every day was something nobody had ever thought of before. And she did it as naturally as your legs turned to butter.
