Why this must be read:
In this story, Logan deals with the events from season one by exiling himself to Metropolis, where he engages in some barhopping. He ends up in trouble, as Logan is wont to do, by getting involved in Chloe and Lex's tumultous relationship.
The voices for everyone in this piece are spot-on, and the sex is frequent and hot. Also, it's heavy on the snark, which is always a selling point for me.
Excerpt:
"That's it?" asks Logan. "Come on, Veronica, I expected better of your investigative skills."
"What did you expect? Logan, this is Lex Luthor you're talking about here. He can make entire families disappear."
"So he's like the mob?"
"Like the mob, yeah, but no secret handshakes and it's all just him."
"Okay, thanks," he says.
"Be careful!" he hears her yell down the phone before he hangs up.
She always was a little too paranoid.
He wonders if she's jealous.
