Tonight I Was by Brighid (R)
Fandom: THE X-FILES
Pairing: Mulder/Scully (of a sort)
Author on LJ:
brighidestone
Author Website: No current X-Files-related one that I can find
Why this must be read: From the Author's note: Lee B. challenged people to write something where loss of control was a bad thing for Scully, instead of the more accepted 'good thing'. I doubt this is exactly what was wanted, but it's what came.
For me, as a reader, "what came" is one of the most memorable stories I've ever read. Short, but packs quite a punch.
Tonight I Was by Brighid
There are also two sequels to the story:
To the Bone, Part 1
To the Bone, Part 2
Atrocities Done, Part 1
Atrocities Done, Part 2
