Why this must be read:

I love fic that have to do with flying. However, some of them aren't very accurate, so as a soon to be mechanic it kind of ruins the story for me. But in Sonic Boom, Icarus not only manages to portray the actual flying properly, but the fic is filled with the emotion that flying brings. In this fic, Jack takes Daniel for a ride in a F-15E. It's short but it's so good.

Oh cool! Thanks for the rec and your comments. You know, I can't tell you how many pilots, daughters of military men, and aircraft fetishists I hear from. I'm not a pilot but I my stepfather's a former drag racer and I used to drive at 100+ speeds, and the boyfriend's a military analyst.
