Why this must be read: For my last rec of the month I wanted to end on an angsty note. Because you hurt the ones you love, especially in the BSG-verse, especially when you don't mean to just because that's the way things are. Set early in S2, after Starbuck's return from Caprica -- this story wrestles with the human feelings and the underlying fear of the Cylons that brings everyone together, rips their hearts apart and patches them up, one more time.


“She’s not stupid,” Adama said. “She’ll understand what we’re doing, if she’s really Kara.” He looked down at the cup in his hand, seeing his reflection in the water there. “And someday, she might even forgive us for it.”
