Homicide: Life on the Street/The West Wing (R)
Title: The Flood by Violet and Cinnamon (a.k.a. Luna and Jess)
Pairing: Tim Bayliss/John Hoynes (also contains minor CJ/Toby)
Author on LJ:
tangleofthorns and
circusgirl
Author Website: http://www.sparkgirls.com/ and http://www.sakeene.com/index5.html
Why this must be read: Do not fear the pairing, people! This is a perfectly characterized crossover, that rarest of beasts. The ensemble cast is portrayed with finesse and without a hint of overcrowding, and the tone and atmosphere is rich and dark and thick (and if it sounds like I'm describing chocolate, well, it's just as good.) From the first sentence, you're standing in the rain on a District street at two a.m. and the story doesn't let you go, even after the final line.
