Penknife is best known for writing [wonderful] stories in fandoms other than Good Omens, but multi-fandom challenges like yuletide can be very tempting (Hmm. Almost as if Crowley had something to do with it....)

"Comfort and Joy" is a charming tale, set just before Christmas, in which both Demon and Angel are getting into the holiday spirit, each in his own particular way. Aziraphale likes "...standing around chatting with people and looking in windows and admiring the holiday decorations...." And Crowley? He likes shopping ("... it was great for inspiring greed, envy, and, around the holiday season, the occasional fit of out-and-out homicidal mania.") and sees no reason to believe "it's the thought that counts"...

...until Aziraphale steps in to teach a little seasonal lesson to his counterpart.
