Because of you, I've added this movie to my netflix queue; I'd actually never heard of it until your recs popped up on my friend's page. I already read in so many other fandoms -- I really tried to resist! But who in their right mind can resist punk rock slash? Dammit, who?!

Anyway, now that I got that out of the way...thanks for the recs. I'll make sure to come back to them once I watch the movie. :)

I'm glad you are going to give this fandom a try. The recs in the Crack Van memories are a good place to start. The first drive (I am the second) rec'd some classics, and I tried to cover other mostly newer writers.

There's a prodigious output when you consider the fact that this movie is 90 minutes long. BUt there's the book, the comic, the screenwriter's book on the making of the movie, a documentary of a mockumentary, and the special features. Plus all the interviews, many, many vidsm and *lowers voice* quite a bit of RPS if you are so inclined.

Yes, yes! I'm happy to hear there's more to it than the movie. Books! A comic! Documentaries! Some of my favorite things!

Good god, it's like you know me -- RPS hold a special place in my heart.

All this good stuff (plus all the new recs) made me move the movie up to the top of my queue (Ahead of Amores Perros and Battlestar Galactica *gasp*).

The one thing I've never managed to see is the documentary about the movie, and I am not so obsessed that I ever looked that hard or found out why no one had it. The comic I took a look at at a con, but I've never acquired it.

I pretty much am obsessed with DH and have been for the past two years. I'd say he's my current Canadian boyfriend, having edged out Callum, even if CKR is a burning hot thing.
