Joe Dick is a force of nature, a punk-rock hurricane of a man, and his raging personality rocks everyone in Hard Core Logo. This story takes a revealing look at the reasons why Joe has such a deep well of anger.
The relationship between Joe and Billy is well-handled. I can believe this view of Joe as way more obsessed with Billy than Billy is with Joe, even though Billy does share that obsession. Billy's elusiveness only fuels Joe's need to take, and this is even truer later in their lives. Seeing it play out in the early days makes sense.
