Why this must be read: all authors, to a greater or a lesser degree, are artists;likethesun2 is a craftsman: she constructs her work painstakingly, meticulously, honing and editing until every word is perfect. She writes in many fandoms, but has given us several wonderful SN fics this year, each of them a thing of beauty. This is the first one I read. Casey's marriage, and his world, are falling apart, but in the busy, busybody atmosphere of the SN workplace, he finds a moment's peace.
By the way? There is, apparently, a long SN WIP in, er, progress, and refusing to co-operate, rather. It's rude and mean to tease authors for fics that don't want to be written … but I do hope that one day this one will decide to play nicely. We badly need more of this sort of thing.
