Why This Must Be Read:
This is what gen is suppose to be. Gripping action, taut characterization, and deft exploration of the canon. This fic takes place far in the past and has original characters (or, as I haven't read any of the books, they are tie-in novel characters) who are just as fascinating as the ones that we saw on the screen. The role of the Sith, its structure, and the beings who call themselves Sith is all questioned and explored. The premise of the tale is that sometimes there is a Shadow Sith -- a second apprentice. It twists from there into a wild ride of Sith power struggles. I truly adore this fic and I think that most other people will too.
