“Slow down there. You need sleep, Jesse. You’ve been working on this all night. You won’t be able to phase anywhere near as well as you can if you’re short on energy. Get some sleep and have something to eat. Adam wants to go in the morning, but only if you’re rested.”
Jesse’s shoulders slumped forward and he nodded wearily. He allowed Brennan to lead him to his room. He went in a shut the door behind him before lying down on top of the covers, falling asleep almost immediately.
He slept so deeply that he was unaware of his personal computer booting up and loading Proxy Blue. The digital woman peered around her as if she could see, focusing on Jesse before shutting down.
