Why this must be read: I like seeing the guys through fresh eyes, and Mary Pauline Rainwater is about as fresh as you can get. This is the third story in the series (the others are here and here), and Jim and Blair don't actually make an appearance, but Polly gives a glimpse of a possible future. I always end up reading this out loud, because Mary Pauline needs to be heard to get the full effect.
