Why this must be read: Kate used to guard the President, so *of course* she'd know classified stuff about possible threats. In this lovely story, Caitrin Torres gives us an interesting character piece about the women of NCIS, which is all too rare a thing, and as an added bonus she imbues the piece with a wistful charm that stays with you after you're done reading.
