why this must be read:

The idea for me was when I had my turn of reccing MFU fics on crack_van, was that I'd find some fic writers who hadn't been recced on crack_van for MFU yet, or sporadically recced. It's not as easy as it looks.

But, in the middle of all the choas that's in my head and on my computer, there's this one. This is one brilliant fic that deals with the friendship between Illya and Napoleon and we get a glance of Illya's past.

If you're one for hurting Illya, this is one fic to read.

It was two days later and Illya was no better. Worse.

Illya murmured something incomprehensible in his delirium. Sweat beaded on his forehead. He lapsed back into unconsciousness again.

Napoleon leant up against the cold white wall, frowning. He didn't know what to do.

Illya Kuryakin was dying. He'd simply lost the will to live. Napoleon couldn't understand. Illya, of all of them, seemed the strongest, the one who never let the business they were in get to him. Now he was just dying in front of Napoleon's eyes. Napoleon felt helpless.

Hi there. Apologies if this just popped into your inbox apropos of nothing. It's quite a while since you recced this story I know.

We're in the process of archiving crack_van recs and trying to restore any broken links. When we can't, despite our efforts, we're leaving a post for info for anyone coming across it in the future.
