Why this must be read: I want to say something lofty and eloquent about how Connor Hawke is a fascinating character with a lot of potential and how Re White rang these five changes on him in an absolutely beautiful way, but you know what? I read Maybe it’s strange to think of his city as a very dangerous kind of smile aimed at his throat, but he does, and the story took me by the throat and pulled me in, made me cry and delighted me utterly.
