I'm so glad you've enjoyed the ride; that makes me absurdly happy. Yes, I have signed up for another slot driving for SGA, but it'll be ages and ages before I'm tagged again.

Ironically enough, I was like you with regards to SGA at first. I was underwhelmed by the first couple of eps of Season 1, and refused to even look at the fic. That all came to a screeching halt when a reccer I trusted twisted my arm. And I'm so glad she did, because I've never found such a depth of great stuff in any other fandom I've read in, and I've read in a lot.

I'm not sure why you aren't big on SGA, but if you'd like to try a bit more, I've put together a Primer (http://community.livejournal.com/rec_room/248780.html) for reading SGA, which points to some more of the most influential stories and writers. And then, of course, I've recced something like 700 SGA stories (and about that many again in various other fandoms) over on rec_room. The ones I say are "highly recommended" or "blue ribbon" are the ones I like best. The other stories sometimes have flaws, or themes that aren't my particular kink, but are still very enjoyable.

The pilot episode of SGA felt like the start of a bad roleplaying game, so I steered clear of the show entirely. Then, not knowing the canon, I felt like I had enough fandoms without picking up one where I didn't know what was going on. But I'm tempted to go look at your other recs...
