Why this must be read: For my first rec, I'm selecting one of my early favorites in the fandom. (Yes, I'm one of the HRs - but I'll be reccing a range of stories this month!) This is an episode based story from the second season, "Psychic Pilgrim." It must be read because it captures some of the intricacies of Section and its multiple agendas, along with the reactions of many characters, canon and original, to the first onscreen-sex between our star-crossed lovers that everyone else inside their universe also gets to watch unfold via hidden cameras. This story is also beautifully written.

One thing, mostly for my own memory-this is the first onscreen sex? What counts as onscreen? I always thought that'd be Hard Landing.

Yes - Hard Landing was the first on-screen sex (given the limits of network Teevee, etc...) - Psychic Pilgrim is the second round for Michael and Nikita, but the first time everyone else in the Section universe watches. You gotta love Section One!
