Why this must be read:

This is a longer, beautifully plotted 'mission' story, written about mid-way through the original run, but set ahead in time in the canon universe. Because the focus is the mission, nothing about the world is truly out of place, but readers who know how the series played out might detect a few differences between what ~delle guessed might happen, and what TPTB gave us. The story has the perfect mix of mystery, section-style intrigue and action, blended with just the right amount of development of Michael and Nikita's ongoing and painfully intense and challenging romance.

This is one of my early favorites. ~delle has a fantastic touch with the darkness of the world of Section, and the ways this affects the lives of those trapped within it, but without bleeding over into either either angst or nihilism, a delicate balance indeed!

I love this story too. It has all the elements of the series plus the added bonus of the conversations and 'interactions' between Michael & Nikita which I really wanted them to have but the TPTB didn't give us enough of.

It's my fault - I can't seem to wrap my head around the posting template for this community - despite already having been warned once about it, and having read the guidelines more than once.

I think its a side affect of having too many things on my plate.

As for ~delle's story - I'm so glad you like it too!

Thank you. I hope you don't think I'm upset with you. Some of our fandoms have literally hundreds of recs saved in memories and it's just much, much easier on the eye when they are not all formatted differently. Every month our reccers have to scroll through them all to ensure they are not reccing a fic that's already saved, so there's also a practical purpose.
