Why this must be read:
This is a pre-series story about a fifteen year old Vince who's forced to deal with the problems he's having with his sexuality because of his feelings for Stuart. It's also a story about Stuart and Vince's first kiss.
Vince took a deep breath and held it, thinking about how to respond. Finally, he let it out slowly and said, "I don't know."
Stuart turned to face him. "How can you not know?" he asked, his tone somewhat harsher than before.
"I just don't," Vince said. "I mean, you... Well, you've done all sorts, haven't you? I've done nothing. How do you know for sure if you've never done anything? I've never even had a real kiss. What if I kiss some bloke and I don't even like it?"
Stuart thought about that for a moment. He could sort of see Vince's point. He, Stuart, had known. He'd always been certain. But Vince... Vince was always doubting himself, wasn't he? Maybe he just needed some confirmation.
"Do you want to try it?" Stuart asked.
