This was the first fanfiction for Narnia that I ever read, and I still look at it with something akin to awe.

In a handful of words, Kyra managed to convey not only a swathe of difficult emotions, but also something inside of myself that had been missing for so many years. She added depth and resonance to a story I knew by heart. She made me want more.

So when I rec this story, I rec it with a lot behind it. And I can't rec it enough.

Her mother's wardrobe is new wood, light-colored with trendy handles. Completely wrong in all respects, but she finds herself crawling in without meaning to, the first day back.
