Adrift by penknife (unrated but probably PG-13)
Fandom: PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
Pairing: Jack Sparrow/James Norrington
Author on LJ:
penknife
Author Website: Penknife to Paper
Why this must be read:
Whatever horrors the afterlife might hold for other men, James felt his own personal definition of hell was being trapped in an open boat with Jack Sparrow.
It’s funny, because it’s true.
Whereas Sparrington was easily made credible post-CotBP (heck, it was three-quarters of the way to being canon), it’s much more difficult to pull off post-DMC.
penknife, though, has the talent to make it plausible, with just the right balance of snark and seething hatred, as Jack and James are forced to work together for survival.
I was giggling throughout this story, and it left me with big, silly grin on my face.
