Why this must be read: Being a multifandom community, I think people around here understand that one looks for something particular in each fandom one skips into. Porn is universally granted. But for anything else, each fandom has it's own flavor, it's own quirks. For me, in HP, I look for a few things, but one is for the villains not to be stupid. Why don't the DE's just kill of Voldemort in a coup and focus on galleons instead of revenge? Ah, the eternal question! you say. Yes.

This story is brilliant on many levels. The conceit with which is written: partially as a historical text written by Hermione explaining recent history; partially as simple narrative. The entire backstory she invents for the unfolding of the war. The spells! How I love a cracking good story with clever spells!

Let me be clear, this is not chan. Also, Harry/Snape normally would put me off my grub for a week, but this story is so good, I didn't even mind.
