Why this must be read:
The world of Smallville is made that much more fun by the presence of about seventy years of comic book canon (comic fen don't call it the DC delicious crack for nothing!) I like nothing better than a fic that draws on comic history, and Medie is amazing at how she combines the world of the shows and comic together. She's a big Supergirl fan, and the love of the character shows brightly in this story.
Sure, there was a bit of Supergirl story at the end of Season 3, and while that Kara was played by an actress that would later shine in Supernatural and Friday Night Lights, it was a bit far off from the comics. And this story is about comics and Smallville nirvana- if you're a fan of Supergirl!
