To quote the author's own summary, "Ezra's relaxing in a nearby town and starts receiving disturbing telegrams that leads to mayhem."
Nottasha is justly famous within Mag7 fandom for her Ezra fic, and this one is a particular favorite of mine. She takes a situation endemic to Magnificent Seven fanfic--Ezra thinking that the rest of the group has rejected him--and manages to turn several fandom cliches on their heads.
And there's hurt/comfort, too, but thankfully, and unusually for a fic with this scenario, no wangst.
