Why this must be read: Between the concept albums and the themed photoshoots, MCR is a band that lends themselves easily to AU's. Gangland is one of my faves, a smart little fic in which the members of MCR are in a gang. I love the characterization of this, how they're still *themselves* even though they're, say, killing people instead of playing instruments.
The thing about letting Mikey loose is, it’s sort of like using a missile to break someone’s knees. He gets the job done, and he does it quick, but it isn’t always clean. Gerard doesn’t bother asking about whether or not innocent people were injured, because it’s sort of a stupid question at this point. There’s a reason Ray likes to call him Mikey Overkill, though Gerard knows he’s not supposed to know about it.
